Another month has been and gone and Jack has turned 9 months. He’s turning into such a funny little character and I cant wait to see him develop over the coming months.
This post is a little late, he actually turned 9 months on the 25th March but he’s been a poorly little fella which resulted in a short hospital stay so things have been a little manic. But he’s back on form now, think he was just trying to make Mommy worry.
This month I thought I would lay down some stats so that they’re here to look back on so I don’t forget, baby brain is still going strong!
He now weighs a whopping 23.5lbs and has gone up a percentile skirting around the 96% mark. I really don’t know where this little monster has come from. He’s very firmly in his 9-12 months clothes and has been for quite some time, don’t think it will be too long until we crack out the 12-18 months range but they’re all summery so hopefully the weather starts to turn soon.
We are starting to nail the daytime routine, 4 bottles, 3 meals and around 2 naps a day. He’s taken so well to food too, eats any purées that I feed him, he’s also really good with finger food but I am finding him be a little more fussy with trying new finger foods. One day he likes things and then the next not so much.
This month we have established the army crawl and he is now whizzing around the living room and kitchen with ease. This means everything has now been put out of reach and we did a mass order of baby proofing on Amazon. He also loves to walk if your holding his hands, his little face is a picture as he is realising he can get around all on his own. I need to buy him some proper shoes as he wants to walk so much when we’re out and about. He has also mastered sitting upright from a crawling position which he is insisting to do when I’m trying to put him down for a nap. This can be incredibly frustrating.
He is still loving his jumperoo and walker although he is very nearly too big for both, how on earth will I entertain him when I can’t confine him to one of these wonder?!
He still loves books, his favourite book being ‘That’s not my dinosaur’, it’s ripped and falling apart but he loves it.
The past few weeks I have noticed he’s been a lot more clingy, I can’t walk more than a few steps away without him either crying or trying to crawl after me, I’m not sure if it’s a phase or if it’s because he’s been under the weather. Either way I’m more than willing to sit for a while and have a little munch.
As normal this month has flown in a blink of an eye and he’s mastered a new set of skills, I wonder what’s in store for us over the next month?! Can’t wait to find out.
